Medical Transfer Attendants deserve to be included in Ontario pandemic pay increase for front-line workers
The $4 wage top-up excludes Medical Transport Attendants. We are committed to the safety of our patients and the community. Medical Transfer Attendants are responsible for the safe transport of non-emergency patients via stretcher and wheelchair to and from a hospital, healthcare facility, nursing home or residence. Our IAM Union members are working on the frontline, they continue to do their workday in and day out, tirelessly dealing with risk and exposure.
