Montréal, QC – Office workers at Electrolux, represented by IAMAW Local Lodge 1148 have a new three-year collective agreement.
The members ratified the new agreement by a margin of 70 per cent.
The agreement provides wage increases of 2.3 per cent in each year. Other contract highlights include:
- Compensated banked time increased to three days
- Employer contribution to pension plan increased by $1 per week
- Pre-retirement age without penalty reduced to 61 years
- Retirement course participation reduced to age 59
IAMAW Local Lodge 1148 also represents production workers at Electrolux who manufacture refrigerators and ranges for the appliance industry.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
