Mississauga, ON Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2243 have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with Filamat Composites Incorporated.
The agreement provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in the first and second year respectively and 3 per cent in the third year. Other contract highlights include:
- An IAM Pension Plan increase of five cents in each year of the contract
- Increased shift premiums
- Lead Hand premium increases to $ .85/hr in year one, $ .95/hr in year two and $1.05/hr in year three
- Improved eyeglass benefits for employees and their dependents
- Eye Examinations coverage improved to once every two years
- Improved short-term disability benefits
- Additional floating holiday
- Improved contract language
The 69 members of Local Lodge 2243 manufacture fibreglass components for industry.
