London, ON - After weighing their options, service technicians at the Mettler Toledo depot here decided to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
The four newest members of IAMAW Local Lodge 235 bring to 35 the number of technicians represented by the Machinists at ten of the 20 depots across Ontario. The technicians service and repair Mettler Toledo weigh scales used in the food service, mining and trucking industries.
The IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
