Simcoe, ON – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 1547 have ratified a new four-year collective agreement with Canvil.
The agreement provides for a $1,000 signing bonus in the first year and a wide range of benefit improvements, which include;
- Increased vision care plan
- Increased sick pay
- Increased safety shoe allowance
- Increased dental coverage up to $1,000 per year
- A new orthodontal plan with a maximum of $2,000
- Increased holiday time
- Increased pension contribution of .5 per cent
The agreement provides for wage increases of 3.1 per cent in each of the three remaining years. The 150 members manufacture industrial pipefittings.
