Machinists Certify new members at Bombardier

Toronto – The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers have successfully certified 130 new members at Bombardier Aerospace.

The new members work for Bombardier Military Aviation Training at the NATO Fighter Training Centres in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Cold Lake, Alberta. Fighter pilots from Canada, Denmark, England, Italy, Hungary, Singapore and Germany participate in a comprehensive fighter pilot training program which combines basic, advanced and fighter lead-in training.

Our new members maintain and service Raytheon Harvard II turboprop advanced trainers and BAE Systems Hawk 115 advanced jet trainer aircraft supplied by Bombardier for the program.

The IAM is among the largest industrial trade unions in North America and represents nearly 700,000 active and retired members and administers more than 5000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
