||
| Press release March 8, 2002 In a 12-page decision, Quebec Labour Minister Jacques Vignola ruled that 843 employees at Bombardiers Finishing Centre are covered by the IAM LL 712 Collective Agreement. The decision came after 15 days of hearings. The Machinists Union would like to thank Steward Jean-Pierre Roberge, who worked with the members of the Finishing Centre. The work done by Brother Roberge allowed the IAMAW to request certification on behalf of the 843 employees in accordance with Article 39 of the Labour Code. We would also like to thank all those who gave freely of their time during the whole process, as well as the Stewards and Coordinators of LL 712. Thanks also to all those who testified at the hearings. Out task now is to put all the energy and resources of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers to benefit our new members.
