Mississauga, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1922 have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with Mikor Metal Products.
“While the wage increases reflect the current economy, we made significant improvements to the employer contributions to the IAM pension plan,” explained IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Kim Valliere. “This was not an easy round of negotiations and negotiating Committee member Dan Vuu was the key to the success of this agreement.”
The agreement provides wage increases of 1 per cent in each year. Other agreement highlights include:
The ten members manufacture financial institution security equipment such as teller anti-hold-up units, security lockers, bullet resistant doors and windows, vault interior equipment and cash drop safes. They also manufacture retail store security equipment such as cash drop safes, cash tray lockers and cash skin boxes as well as courier equipment and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems fire safety plan boxes.
