Machinists Ratify new deal with Bombardier!

Winnipeg, MB – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 32 have ratified a new three-year agreement with Bombardier Military Aviation Training.
The agreement provides wage increases of 2 per cent in the first year, 2.5 per cent in the second year and 3 per cent in the third year. “This was a significant victory for us,” said IAMAW District 140 General Chairperson and Organizer Tony Didoshak. “We held our position on the key issues of job protection and outsourcing, mutually agreed upon shift schedules and no mandatory overtime.” The employer also agreed to the inclusion of 17 newly certified logistics personnel into the bargaining unit.
The 125 members consist of Aircraft Technicians, Technical Support and Logistics personnel who work in support of the NATO Flying Training in Canada Program at CFB Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and CFB Cold Lake, Alberta.
