Sudbury, ON – Business Representatives and Administrative staff of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1687 are now members of IAM Local Lodge 1922.

“These new members were looking for job security and turned to the IAM to obtain it,” explained IAM Grand Lodge Organizer Scott Jackson. “Once they got the representation they were after, this group wasted little time in ratifying their first collective agreement. They knew what they wanted and their bargaining committee member, Chase Beaudoin, ensured that their number one issue of job security was achieved.”

IBEW Local 1687 is the largest IBEW local in geographical terms in Canada. Their representatives cover an area from Sault Ste. Marie to Sudbury and North Bay to as far north as Cochrane and west to Kenora. The IAM Local Lodge 1922 also represents Business Representatives from UFCW and the Elementary Teachers of Toronto.
