Brampton, ON – More workers at the Fairfield Inn in Brampton have decided to join the IAM.
“We have already organized the housekeeping staff at this facility and were approached by the remaining workers who wanted union representation,” explained IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Derek Ferguson. “They see how much the housekeeping staff have benefited by becoming IAM members and they wanted the same representation.”
The 19 newest members of IAM Local Lodge 1295 consist of reception/front desk, pool personnel and kitchen staff. They join 14 members in housekeeping.
The IAM represents hospitality workers in Brampton, Oakville, Sarnia, Mississauga and London.
