23/6/2011 – Machinists Strike Finning for the First time in BC!


Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 692 set up picket lines at 25 Finning International locations across British Columbia late Wednesday afternoon after the employer refused to improve its final contract offer. IAMAW Local Lodge 692 bargaining team members, Phil Miles of Prince
George and Laura Tetreau of Kelowna , hold their picket signs outside
the Finning International location in Surrey BC, minutes after the strike became official. The strike began late Wednesday afternoon when it became clear that Finning was not going to move off its final offer.


IAMAW Local Lodge 692 members  John Fong and Glen Olafson were among the first to join picket lines outside one of the 25 Finning International locations across British Columbia minutes after the strike became official late Wednesday afternoon..
