Local Lodge 1975 members ratify new contract, win improvements

St. Thomas, ON – IAM Local Lodge 1975 members working at GKN Sinter Metals in St. Thomas Ontario ratified a new 3-year collective agreement. In recognition of the phase 3 restrictions, the group ratified the agreement outdoors where they could vote on the contract as one group while maintaining physical distancing. The improvements to the agreement include wage increases, increased vacation entitlement, automatic wage progression, benefits improvements, including the introduction
